Sen. John Kerry will hit the airwaves on The O'Franken Factor on Air America tomorrow. Noon-3 ET. Hear it live right here:

My worthless opinion: Al Franken is turning into a happy surprise for me. I had doubts about his ability to pull off a radio show - something he's not known for. And it's still in its growing stages. But there's one important thing at play here: Franken is sounding like he's having genuine fun doing this. Katherine Lanpher, the radio veteran here, has been razzed for being a little too much of a shill for Franken's verbiage, but I disagree. It doesn't sound forced and she won't laugh at just ANYTHING ala Robin Quivers to Howard Stern.
To my warped sense of humor, a high point is the show's "The Oy Report" which consists simply of Lanpher rattling off the top international stories - especially those from Israel - and each sentence is scored by the number of "oy"s Franken mumbles. Example:
"Passover begins tonight..." Oh yeah.
"...with a difference in Israel." (pause) Oy.
"...Observers are urged to carry guns." Oy, oy, oy, oy, oy.
Can't explain it. I almost pee my pants when they do this feature. In fact, their live stuff really outshines the pre-produced bits which are still kind of stiff - as if they're obligated to have them. That aside, it's fun to hear and I happily recommend you check it out.
