Al-Sadr wounded in fighting: report
Radical Shia cleric Muqtada al-Sadr was wounded in Thursday's major U.S.-led offensive against his militant group in the holy city of Najaf, Arab satellite television reported.
His condition was unknown. An aide to al-Sadr would only say he was wounded, but not the extent of his injuries, Al-Jazeera and Al-Arabiya reported.
There were unconfirmed reports that al-Sadr received shrapnel wounds to his chest and leg.
