The Backlash

I have to go to the CBC to get my news today because the U.S. "press" is too busy with flu stories, Michael Jackson and the U.S. position. Here's more reaction to the kicky-feet pig-headed ban on the allies not allowed to bid on Iraq rebuilding contracts:

Incoming [Canadian] Prime Minister Paul Martin told a news conference Wednesday that he found the ban "very difficult to fathom," adding that Canada has pledged $300 million in aid to Iraq. Deputy prime minister John Manley said the ban makes it "difficult for us to give further money for the reconstruction of Iraq."
And we also seemed to have forgotten Canada's sacrifices in Afghanistan - which our allies agreed was a much more urgent matter. This is how we thank Canada.

And if you're still eating freedom fries and freedom toast, then just crawl back into your hole and let the rest of us try to fix this thing, because the Bush cartel is screwing it up every minute that goes by. Jingo is no answer.
