The Idiot At The Wheel Of America

President Puddingmouth attempted to justify the banning of non-coalition counties from the Iraq rebuilding, reported in the Washington Post:

"The expenditure of U.S. dollars will reflect the fact that U.S. troops and other troops risk their life . . . ," Bush said. "It's very simple. Our people risk their lives. Coalition -- friendly coalition folks risk their lives. And therefore, the contracting is going to reflect that. And that's what the U.S. taxpayers expect."
Hold it. Stop. Suddenly you're freakin' concerned about what we want from our tax money? You didn't give a rat's ass about our concerns when you wanted to shovel $87 billion to clean up a mess we never wanted you to make in the first place. HOW DARE YOU tell us what to expect as taxpayers. We sure as hell didn't expect this nightmare you created on the world stage. You nimrod.

Oh, by the way...if the Bush campaign ever raises questions about Howard Dean's knowledge of foreign policy, put this paragraph in your back pocket for future reference:

Asked by a reporter to respond to German Chancellor Gerhard Schroeder's suggestion that there might be some issues of international law involved, Bush said: "International law? I better call my lawyer. . . . I don't know what you're talking about, about international law. Better consult my lawyer."
