During his performance this morning, Bush again reiterated the notion that the War on Terror began with the September 11 attacks.
Can we please stop perpetuating this myth and start challenging it every time it's uttered by these people? The war on terror did NOT start on 9/11. The war on terror was going on during the Clinton administration, was passed to the Bush administration who immediately fumbled the ball, and was dismissed as nonsense on January 20, 2001. After being ignored for almost eight months, Bush decided to pick it up again after we were attacked.
The War on Terror started a long time before Bush gave it a catchy name. Stop the myth and spread the facts, people.
