I find it FAScinating that a terrorist attack in Spain seemed to prompt the public to say, "Screw this. We need a change in our government NOW," and they voted out the conservative Popular party. If God forbid it were to happen again in the U.S., I get the feeling the administration would scare the public into keeping Bush, and they'd probably succeed.
But if it DID happen again, would that not be a horrific failure of Bush's homeland security vision? It would be tragic under any circumstance, but just one of those things I couldn't help but wonder about.
