One Whole Freakin' Year

Actually, it was a year ago yesterday at a quarter-to-nine AM that the first post went up on this joint. On that day, you'll see I even had a beef with John Kerry, having been a hardcore Dean guy at the time. Time and my own education unfolded as the year passed.

I started this thing as a way to stop stuffing my friends' inboxes with my rants and tantrums so they could read them at their leisure by just going here.

Somehow, we got some footing in the blogosphere to where today, close to a thousand folks check in daily. (One of those people is none other than Joe Trippi who sent me an advance copy of his new book, The Revolution Will Not Be Televised which I'll review when I'm done reading it.)

Thanks for your support, gang. Hopefully, as we all do out here in Blogarama, we'll continue baring our souls, shining lights into the darkness, demanding answers, and doing it all without taking ourselves too seriously - in spite of our passion. We'll all keep the winds of change blowing until sanity is restored.

We have the truth on our side. We ask you - URGE you - to keep seeking it out. Read as much as you can. Don't take anyone's word as gospel truth. Even ours. The truth that's out there is all you need, but you need to look for it under the dirty blanket of wingnut media.

But if not, hey - that why we love cartoons, too. Happy 4th.
