(Box number censored to protect the guilty.)
B and I allow ourselves one indulgence every summer...a subscription to the Hollywood Bowl. (Don't worry...my real job pays for it...not the contributions to the site.) Right now we're watching Tania Libertad and working our way to the headliner, Tracy Chapman.
We're in one of the terrace boxes where you can tank up on wine and food before the show...and we did. I like to think we do the Bowl expericnce right. Fruit, picnic dinner, wine, candlelight, the whole routine.
You do get a cross-section of folks in the boxes. The people in the box to our right are veterans at this. Nice. Quiet. They know how to fold the tables and chairs.
The people to our left are another story altogether. They brought several shopping bags from Ralphs. They had chips, white bread, Oscar Meyer cold cuts, a requisite wheel of brie, Twinkies and an amazing GIFT OF GAB. I'm thinking of giving them the rest of our wine so they'll pass out.
So that's where we are as I blog telephonically. Have a sweet night. And I only say things like "sweet night" when I'm here at the Bowl.
